Ship’s Log–July 6th

PicShells

I woke up this morning to find Thing 1 still fairly sick. Though I had considered running today, doing so without her felt rotten, so I took a rest day to stay by her side. At least I managed to use the day to clean the house, which it sorely needed.

Her fever spiked high again the afternoon, as did my stress level. It is so hard to watch your own child suffer like that! I reached out to her doctor, who assured me that it was just a virus that was going around, and she should be fine in another day or so. In the meantime, I had better take excellent care of myself as well as the children to do my best to prevent catching this thing myself.
