Ship’s Log–October 10th


Today was not a good day. If I’m being honest, it’s been quite a while since I’ve had a good day. The last few weeks I have been struggling with fatigue and a nearly constant desire to snack, especially on anything with chocolate. I have been eating too much and sitting too much. I really haven’t felt “right” since my little medical adventure back in July.

But today was probably the worst. I went to my classes, and even though the BJJ class was really mild, I gassed out about 15 minutes into the following MMA class. The Hub said I was hitting like a child. I just had nothing left even though I hadn’t really pushed myself hard enough to be like that. The weather here was horrible, and a lot of people I know complained of feeling tired, but this was beyond  tired.

I’m going to call the doctor tomorrow.


  • Smoothie: bananas, strawberries, frozen cherries, red leaf lettuce, romaine, kale, Vega One Vanilla Chai, and water
  • Cinnamon raisin mochi with maple syrup
  • Coffee with stevia

Morning Snack:

  • Chocolate strawberry tea
  • Small dish of dried fruits, nuts, granola, and chocolate


  • Vegetable Lentil Soup
  • 1 slice of whole grain pumpernickel bread
  • Coffee with stevia
  • Dried fruits, nuts, and chocolate

Afternoon Snack:

  • Way too much food. More dried fruit, nuts, and chocolate. Cookies. Popcorn. Hummus on a cracker


  • Boca burger on whole wheat with guacamole, tomatoes, lettuce, and BBQ sauce
  • Even more dried fruit, nuts, and chocolate and another cookie
