Ship’s Log–December 10th

Day 9 of the cleanse. Still nothing. I guess I’ll be dropping all that weight on the last day, huh?

I hit the snacks pretty hard today. I think it was to cope with the pounding headache that hit me all day, which I’m going to chalk up to the snowy weather and the dropping temperature. This same headache kept me from running or even attempting any other work out.

Breakfast:

  • Advocare Herbal Cleanse Fiber Drink (aka cardboard lemonade)
  • Smoothie: banana, pineapple, frozen black cherries, red leaf lettuce, romaine, kale, flax seed, unsweetened soy milk, and water
  • 1 slice Yoga Bread toasted, with peanut butter
  • Coffee

Morning Snack:

  • Hot ginger peppermint tea

Lunch:

  • Leftover black eyed peas, kale, and tomatoes over a Portobello mushroom
  • Red leaf lettuce, romaine, and kale with tequila lime vinegar
  • Coffee with almond holiday nog
  • Handful of marshmallows, cranberries, and walnuts. Then another.

Afternoon Snack:

  • Wasa cracker and hummus
  • Popcorn
  • Black tea with soy milk

Dinner:

  • Salad: red leaf lettuce, baked tofu, clementine, red onion, red pepper, and sesame ginger dressing
  • Handful of marshmallows, cranberries, and walnuts

Late Night:

  • Handful of marshmallows, cranberries, and walnuts
  • Wasa crackers and hummus
