Ship’s Log–January 26th

PicShellsSundays are my long run days. I miss those dearly, but the park where I run was never plowed. My trails are under several inches of aging snow.

To keep myself somewhat occupied this afternoon, we had a family movie viewing in the house. They conspired against me and bought treats for the movie: the fixings for vegan ice cream sundaes. So…to sum up: no run AND extra calories. I’m going to be huge by the time this snow melts.

Fitness:

36 pushups

Breakfast @ Whole Foods:

  • Vegan chocolate chip scone
  • Pineapple and blueberries
  • Coffee with unsweetened soy milk and vanilla stevia

Morning Snack:

  • 1 slice cinnamon raisin toast with peanut butter and a little honey (I’ve been having the sniffles for the last few days, so I’m adding in a little honey for its medicinal benefits. I hope the bees forgive me)

Lunch:

  • Salad: red leaf lettuce, romaine, kale, grape tomatoes, cucumber, bell pepper, green olives, pepperoncini, Gardein BBQ “chicken” wings, and sesame ginger dressing
  • Coconut seltzer

Afternoon Snack:

  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and unsweetened soy milk
  • Coconut milk ice cream sundae

Dinner:

  • Chickpea bourdetto soup from Vedge
  • Grilled Daiya swiss on rye with champagne dill mustard
  • Murphy’s Stout

Late Night:

  • Green olives
  • Wasa cracker with black bean spread
  • Piece of dark chocolate
