Ship’s Log–January 27th

43 degrees out there today. Warm enough to run, but my trails aren’t even a little bit clear. Maybe I need to start looking for an alternative place to run in the winters, one that is plowed and free of ice. Unfortunately, my workload left no time for such a search today, so I made do with jumping rope until my wrists started to hurt.

Fitness:

16 minutes of jumping rope, 37 pushups.

Breakfast:

  • Smoothie: banana, blackberries, frozen cherries, red leaf lettuce, romaine, kale, flax and chia seed, Warrior Blend Raw Protein, water
  • Slice of cinnamon raisin bread with peanut butter and raw honey
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and unsweetened soy milk

Morning Snack:

  • Gingerbread spice tea

Lunch:

  • Tofurky, Daiya swiss, lettuce, tomato, horseradish mustard, and pumpernickel wrap
  • Tomato soup with brown rice, chickpeas, and green olives.
  • Lime seltzer
  • Coffee
  • Dark chocolate, cranberries, and walnuts

Afternoon Snack:

  • Apple with peanut butter & brown rice syrup dip
  • Spiced black tea
  • Hummus on wasa crackers

Dinner:

  • Pizza made with pre-made whole wheat crust, Daiya shreds, and vegan pepperoni
  • Red leaf lettuce, romaine, and kale dressed with sesame ginger dressing

Late Night:

  • Goose Island Nut Brown Ale
  • Hummus with crackers and mini pita
  • Dark chocolate, cranberries, and walnuts
