Ship’s Log–March 3rd


The kids had been so excited last night when the school district called to say school would be cancelled and went to bed dreaming of a day spent sledding and pounding back mugs of hot chocolate. Nope. I woke up this morning to a whopping inch or so of snow on the ground, hardly enough to merit getting out the shovels, let alone the sleds. Bad news for them is good news for me, as this means my running trails should be clear by mid-week when the temps will climb back up to doable, and I’ll be able to get back into my running groove soon.


  • March Full Body Challenge Day 3: 5 push ups/20 sit ups/35 squats


  • Daily Detox Drink
  • Oatmeal with blueberries, banana, applesauce, flax seed, mango soy yogurt, and walnut pieces
  • Coffee

Morning Snack:

  • Hot chocolate made with almond milk and marshmallows


  • Tofu hot dogs in whole wheat buns with ketchup, mustard, and relish
  • Cole slaw
  • Coffee

Afternoon Snack:

  • Dark chocolate covered raisins
  • Cookies
  • Kale chips


  • Saffron infused cauliflower soup
  • Whole grain bread
  • Glass of chardonnay
  • Cookies
