Ship’s Log–March 5th

All things considered, my hand was pretty good today, just a little stiff and sore in the pinky. I credit this to the quick application of ice and the pint of Guinness, a miracle elixir if ever there was one, that I had to numb the pain last night. I was cautious with it during my classes, just in case, but it held up fine.

Now, if I could just get those girl scout cookies out of my life, I’d be set. Thing 1 was home sick from school today, and she was a constant source of cookie temptation. Nearly every hour the girl was making puppy eyes and suggesting that just a few more cookies wouldn’t hurt, would they? At least I managed to balance it out tonight with double classes. The MMA class contained a good amount of conditioning drill work, too, so it was a high calorie burner.

Fitness:

  • Morning: March Full Body Challenge Day 5 (5 push ups/10 sit ups/20 squats)
  • Evening: 45 minutes MMA and 45 minutes BJJ

Breakfast:

  • Daily detox drink
  • Quinoa with mango soy yogurt, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, red walnuts, and a wee bit of cinnamon
  • Coffee

Lunch:

  • Leftover cauliflower soup
  • 1/2 hummus, tomato and spinach wrap
  • Coffee
  • Cookies

Afternoon Snack:

  • More cookies
  • Kale chips
  • Wasa crackers with hummus

Dinner:

  • Tofu scrambled with broccoli, grape tomatoes, and black beans
  • 2 soft corn tortillas, guacamole, and salsa
  • Small glass of white wine
  • More cookies
