Ship’s Log–March 10th

I made it through a whole day without a cookie! I even managed to cut out my after lunch coffee, since I’ve become quite the caffeine junkie. That was not fun, and probably too much of a challenge so close to the clocks changing. I was really dragging by evening, and ran out of juice after just one class.

Of course, it was one hell of a class, leaving my training partner (a younger, fitter fighter than myself) sprawled out on the mats gasping for air, so there’s that. I did manage to stay on my feet.

Fitness:

  • Morning: March Full Body Challenge Day 10 (10 push ups/10 sit ups/ 25 squats)
  • Evening: 45 minutes MMA

Breakfast:

  • Daily Detox Drink
  • Small smoothie: bananas, frozen cherries, mixed greens, spinach, flax and chia seeds, almond milk, and water
  • Broiled grapefruit half with sliced strawberry
  • Slice of soda bread with almond butter
  • Coffee

Lunch:

  • Hummus, almond feta, tomatoes, and spinach in a wrap
  • Leftover greens and sweet potato
  • Spiced black tea
  • Wasa cracker with herbed tofu spread

Afternoon Snacks:

  • Apple oatmeal muffin
  • Kale chips

Dinner:

  • Whole wheat tortilla with leftover seitan, guacamole, salsa, and greens
  • Carton Brewing Boat Beer
  • Banana with peanut butter and a wee bit of chocolate syrup
