Ship’s Log–March 28th

After sleeping on it, I’ve decided to end the March Full Body Challenge early, to give my body a bit of a rest. And by “a bit of a rest” I mean not doing extra conditioning on top of my running and fight classes, for just a few days, until my knees stop it with the cry-baby act. Starting April 1st, I’ll ad in something that doesn’t target the legs, since those will be getting plenty enough work with the running. Maybe I’ll even to a stretching based challenge!

So when you look below, you’re going to see some eating today that I’m not proud of. I had a huge lunch, snacked a whole lot, and then rounded it off with a big take-out dinner. I guess I can’t really expect myself to behave all the time.

Fitness:

  • Training run: 1/2 mile warm up jog, drills, strides, 2 1-mile moderate speed intervals, .75 mile cool down jog

Breakfast:

  • Red berry flax vegan toaster waffles with peanut butter, sliced banana, and maple syrup
  • Broiled 1/2 grapefruit with strawberry
  • Coffee with soy creamer

Morning Snack:

  • Post-run: chocolate soy milk with a pinch of salt

Lunch:

  • Leftover brown rice and tofu
  • Sautéed spinach with garlic
  • 1 slice of leftover pizza
  • Coffee, black

Afternoon Snack:

  • Wasa cracker with herbed tofu spread
  • Blood orange
  • Date roll
  • 1/2 PB&J

Dinner (take out from Ichiban):

  • Miso soup
  • Salad with ginger carrot dressing
  • Avocado cucumber roll
  • Sweet potato roll
  • A few bites of Thing 2’s veggie lo mien
  • 2 girls scout cookies
