Ship’s Log–March 31st

PicShells

Sickness has invaded our home. Thing 1 had a high fever and a raw, red throat. With my running training in full swing and some spring break travel on the horizon, I’ve got to be extra careful of my own health while tending to her needs.

I probably shouldn’t have eaten so many cookies today, then, huh?

I did not feel like going to class tonight, probably because I am anxious about my poor daughter being so miserable (not to mention the fact that I still have to do my taxes, ugh). I made myself go anyway. It was good for me. I worked up a good sweat and was able to work with a new student, which is always a fun treat.

As I looked around the class at my fellow student, I realized that a wish I made a little more than a year ago has finally come true. Back then, there were very few women coming to the classes regularly, primarily just Thing 1 and myself. I mentioned to the head honcho that I wished there were more women coming to class, and he has been working to deliver. Today I looked around to see that the class was more women than men! Awesome!
