Ship’s Log–April 7th

Some days I wish I could just sit on my butt and eat cupcakes all day long and still be fit and fabulous. Sadly for the cupcake industry, it doesn’t work that way. Even on days like today, when it’s cold and rainy and my motivation to behave is at an all time low, I still have to head out to the dojo if I want to keep on my path.

I was rewarded for dragging my lazy butt through the rain to the dojo with a fun class. Tonight, again, the ladies outnumbered the men. At this rate, I’ll soon be able to recruit a full team of Super Girls to fight by my side. I love it!

Fitness:

  • 30 decline sit ups; 45 seconds plank
  • 45 minutes MMA

Breakfast:

  • Oatmeal with apple sauce, flax seed, cinnamon, blueberries, banana, red walnuts, and soy yogurt
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Lunch:

  • Hummus, tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, and red leaf lettuce on whole grain wrap
  • Cole slaw
  • Orange
  • Matcha green tea in almond milk
  • Piece of dark chocolate

Afternoon Snack:

  • Vegan “chicken” nuggets with BBQ sauce
  • Wasa cracker with hummus

Dinner:

  • Vegan meatball sub
  • Steamed broccoli
  • Glass of red wine
  • Thin mints
  • Almonds, cranberries, and a wee bit of dark chocolate
