Ship’s Log–May 16th

I’m glad I planned on doing nothing physical today, because that’s all I was able to do. The sniffles and cough I’ve been fighting all week finally moved in, and I was a miserable mess of sneezes, coughing, and post-nasal drip.

Stupid pollen, I hope. Seems like allergies, not a cold, what with the complete lack of a fever and the itchy feeling in the back of my mouth. Either way, I’m worried that my increasing symptoms will interfere with this weekend’s long run, since I can’t even begin to imagine running while feeling like this.

Breakfast:

  • Cinnamon raisin Ezekiel muffin with 1 tbs peanut butter
  • Smoothie: banana, strawberry, frozen blueberries, 1/2 scoop Vega One Vanilla Chai, and water
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Morning Snack:

  • Cucumber water

Lunch:

  • Pan seared tempeh on 1/2 wrap with guacamole, salsa, and baby romaine
  • Broiled cauliflower dressed with mayo and sriracha
  • Cucumber water
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia

Afternoon Snack:

  • Vega Vibrancy Bar in Chocolate Decadence
  • Handful of cranberries
  • NatureBox Citrus Chipotle Chickpeas

Dinner:

  • Seitan and vegan cheese quesadilla with guacamole
  • Moroccan mint Honest Tea
  • 1/2 vegan chocolate chip cookie
