Ship’s Log–May 28th

The runs this week, which have been the longest and most intense of this training cycle, are taking a toll on me. I’m tired, grumpy, and hungry all the time. Next week’s taper can’t come soon enough.

Fitness:

  • 20 minutes Burn with Kearns bootcamp-style workout

Breakfast:

  • Smoothie: banana, frozen mango, Vega One Vanilla Bean powder, red leaf lettuce, romaine, kale, and water
  • Cinnamon raisin Ezekiel muffin with peanut butter
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Lunch:

  • Salad plate: mixed greens with tomatoes and Sicilian lemon white balsamic; potato salad; tabouleh
  • Artichoke with a dip made from hummus, BBQ mayo, and Sicilian lemon white balsamic
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk
  • Marshmallows and dark chocolate

Afternoon Snack:

  • Freeze dried green beans
  • More marshmallows and chocolate
  • Raspberry fig bars
  • Other noshing, too, but I didn’t write it down.

Dinner:

  • Gardien burger patty on whole wheat bun with lettuce, tomato, pickles, mustard, and BBQ sauce
  • Potato salad
  • Tabouleh

Late Night:

  • Wasa crackers with mustard and Daiya cheese
  • Even more freakin’ marshmallows and chocolate
