Ship’s Log–June 10th


Wow, that half marathon Sunday sure did kick my butt. Two days later, and I’m still dragging. Tonight I forced myself to go to a BJJ class, if only to move my sore muscles just a bit in the hopes that this would help speed my recovery…though really all I want to do still is sleep.


  • Slow, easy stroll in the park to stretch my still-sore legs
  • 1 hour BJJ class


  • Smoothie: banana, watermelon, frozen blueberries, romaine, kale, Vega One Vanilla Bean, and water
  • Cinnamon raisin Ezekiel muffin with peanut butter
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk


  • Salad: romaine, red leaf lettuce, red onion, blueberries, and tempeh cooked in miso glaze topped with blackberry ginger balsamic
  • Red grapes
  • Coffee
  • Whole wheat raspberry fig bar

Afternoon Snack:

  • Apple with peanut butter
  • Assorted NatureBox snacks again


  • Whole wheat pasta with vegan pesto, grape tomatoes, and Tofurky sausage
  • Dried fruit, nuts, and dark chocolate chips
