Ship’s Log–June 19th


Today was not the best food day. Thing 2 invited a few friends over, and the baked several batches of cookies. I ate too many. Way too many. Hot, gooey, delicious, but full of sugar and fat. After that, with my appetite over-stimulated from the sugar feast, I ate two dinners. This wouldn’t have been so bad if I had then been able to take a few classes to burn it off, but I was out working rather than working out.



  • Tofu scramble
  • Sprouted grain Ezekiel muffin
  • 1/2 grapefruit broiled with strawberry
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Morning Snack:

  • Banana with plain soy yogurt and granola


  • Hummus with carrots, cucumber, crackers, red grapes

Afternoon Snack:

  • Fresh, warm, gooey, whole wheat chocolate chip cookies with fresh mint from the garden. Too many of them


  • Whole wheat quesadilla stuffed with leftover black bean and grain salad with Daiya shreds
  • Mixed greens with salsa and Sicilian lemon balsamic

Late Night:

  • Pint of ale and another small plate of quesdilla
