Ship’s Log–June 26th


I find watching the World Cup to be so inspiring. The athletes competing all have such an amazing level of fitness! It is certainly helping me keep Thing 1 and myself motivated to follow through with the intense training schedule we’ve started.


  • 30 minutes MMA Fighter Fitness Training, focussing mainly on the arms.
  • 3 mile walk on boardwalk and around scenic Ocean Grove, NJ (pictured above)


  • Smoothie: banana, strawberries, frozen mango, red leaf lettuce, romaine, kale, and vanilla soy milk
  • Cinnamon raisin Ezekiel muffin with peanut butter
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Morning Snack:

  • Iced tea


  • Korean BBQ tempeh and cole slaw in 1/2 whole grain flat bread
  • Veggie chips
  • Coffee
  • 4 Thin Mints

Afternoon Snack:

  • Plain coconut milk yogurt, blueberries, and granola
  • Handful of veggie chips

Dinner @ Escondido’s:

  • Chips and guacamole
  • Veggie fajita salad minus the dairy and dressing

Late Night:

  • Sam Adams Summer Ale
  • Veggie chips
  • Granola and chocolate chips
