Ship’s Log–July 23rd

It appears that I have thrown my lower back out in some sort of weird way. I have no pain, until I try to bend over. The most painful thing I did at he dojo tonight was bowing to my partner. Every bow made me wince. I could throw roundhouse kicks all night long without even twinge, but one wee little bow and owie.

I hope this resolves itself quickly, before my training partners mistake my wince of pain for some sort of judgment on their performance.

Fitness:

  • 45 minutes MMA Fighter Fitness Training
  • 45 minutes MMA

Breakfast:

  • Overnight whole wheat baked french toast with blueberries, spiced pecans, and maple syrup
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Morning Snack:

  • Kind Plus Blueberry Pecan bar
  • Cold Brew New Orleans style coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Lunch:

  • Kale salad with sliced tomatoes and teriyaki tempeh
  • Sea salt popcorn
  • Watermelon
  • Flavored seltzer

Afternoon Snack:

  • Peanutbutter S’more by Sweet & Sara
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Dinner:

  • 3 soft corn tacos with black beans, corn, tomatoes, peri-peri sauce and guacamole
  • Cole slaw
  • Leinenkugel Summer Shandy
  • Handful of citrus spiced almonds
