Ship’s Log–August 6th

PicShellsI am feeling all out of sorts from the garbage I ate yesterday. Headaches. Groggy. A wee bit bitchy.

I don’t understand how so many people eat crap like that all the time. Do they like feeling terrible, or do they not know how much better fresh, real food makes you feel?

Weight change since July 30th: -1.2 pounds (Hello, amusement park junk food bloat!)

Fitness:

  • 4.3 miles fartleks for speed work. Thing 1 and I were going to do our normal speed intervals on a measured track, but the cheer squad was using it when we got there. We detoured into the local park and ran fartleks instead
  • 45 minutes MMA
  • 45 minutes BJJ

Breakfast:

  • Banana, strawberries, blueberries, and peach with plain coconut yogurt and granola
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Morning Snack:

  • Naturebox Sunflower seed chocolate bites
  • Cold brew New Orleans style coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Lunch:

  • Korean BBQ tempeh with cole slaw on multi-grain flat
  • Red grapes

Afternoon Snack:

  • Cold brew New Orleans style coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk
  • 2 candies at the Lindt store
  • 1/2 of a massive apple with a little peanut butter

Dinner:

  • Black bean and guacamole soft corn tacos with salsa and peri-peri sauce
  • Salad: red leaf, green leaf, romaine, tomatoes, and cucumbers dressed with Sicilian lemon white balsamic
