Ship’s Log–August 11th

Today’s run was difficult. Thing 1 and I took it really easy because she has a sore ankle (skateboarding injury) and my knees feel older than the rest of me recently. We plodded our way through 10 miles, then spent the afternoon binge-watching Sherlock as I tried to get a little work done.

Weight change since July 30th: -1.3 pounds. Hardly impressive, that.

Fitness:

  • 10 mile long slow run. Miserable. Hot, humid, and fueled by a weekend-long junk food binge.

Breakfast:

  • Whole wheat everything bagel with peanut butter
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Morning Snack:

Lunch @ Whole Foods:

  • Big bowl of salad (greens, chickpeas, and assorted veggies) with avocado salsa and Fig Tahini dressing
  • Rose green tea
  • Chocolate coconut water

Afternoon Snack:

  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk
  • Small dish of kettle corn
  • Wasa cracker with hummus
  • Small bowl of leftover pasta with pesto

Dinner:

  • Seitan and veggies stir fried in ginger soy sauce served on a bed of brown rice
  • Naturebox Dutch Cocoa Sun Crunch
