Ship’s Log–August 12th

I woke up this morning aching and tired. Thing 1 and I decided to skip our planned morning fitness workout to let ourselves recover a bit ahead of classes tonight, which it turns out we needed to do. Even with the extra recovery time, I still felt like I was punching underwater by the second class.

The day after a long run I am rarely in top form, but today was extra bad.

Weight change since July 30th: -1.8 pounds

Fitness:

  • 1 hour BJJ
  • 45 minutes MMA

Breakfast:

  • Bowl of fruit (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, and banana) with vanilla Greek style coconut milk yogurt, granola, and pecans
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Lunch:

  • Soft corn tortillas with black beans, smashed avocado, salsa, and peri-peri sauce
  • Mixed lettuces with salsa and Sicilian lemon white balsamic
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Afternoon Snacks:

  • Wasa crackers with hummus and green olives
  • Chocolate squares
  • Citrus Spiced Almonds
  • Whole wheat raspberry figgy bar

Dinner:

  • 2 Smart Dog tofu hot dogs on white wheat buns with mustard and sauerkraut
  • Cole slaw
  • 1/4 cantaloupe melon
  • More chocolate
