Ship’s Log–August 14th

Another day with some questionable food choices. I’ve been a bit blue this week, with Robin Williams suicide bringing up some dark memories of a love one’s suicide, and when I’m blue I eat sweets. When the Dementors pay you a visit, chocolate makes the sadness go away. I’m not going to beat myself up about it yet. As far as coping mechanisms go, it’s not as bad as drugs and drinking to excess. I can (and will) just work out a little extra to burn off those vegan ice cream calories.

Weight change since July 30: -2.2 pounds

Fitness:

  • 33 minutes MMA Fighter Fitness training
  • 1 hour walk on the boardwalk
  • 1 hour BJJ

Breakfast:

  • Bowl of mixed berries and banana with vanilla Greek style coconut milk yogurt and granola
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Morning Snack:

  • Cold brew coffee with almond milk
  • KIND healthy grains bar

Lunch:

  • Whole grain flat with hummus, lettuces, and sliced tomato
  • Kettle corn
  • Kiddie cone of soy mint chocolate chip ice cream

Afternoon Snack:

  • Small bowl of leftover pasta with green olives
  • Marshmallows and chocolate
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Dinner:

  • 1 vegan hot dog on wheat bun with mustard and sauerkraut
  • Kale cooked with garlic, red onion, cherry tomatoes, notch, and Old Bay Seasoning
  • Marshmallows and dark chocolate
  • Kahlua, Godiva Liquor, and almond milk
