Ship’s Log–August 20th

The Things have been working hard all summer as part of the cast of a show, and tonight was opening night. That meant that today was a rush of dress rehearsals, hair appointments, and makeup, leaving no time for a proper work out. This is probably for the best, as taking it easy this week is what my sore knee needs.

The next two days are also going to be fast and furious, complete with additional show times and a panicked rush to pack for next week’s vacation. Hopefully I’ll manage a work  out or two in there.

Weight change since July 30th: -1.2 pounds (back up thanks to those chips yesterday. Salt is my enemy)

Breakfast:

  • Whole grain blueberry corn muffin
  • Smoothie: banana, frozen local peaches, flax seed, Vega vanilla protein powder, and water
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Lunch:

  • Chilled cucumber mint soup
  • Wasa crackers with hummus
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk
  • Tagalong cookies

Afternoon Snack:

  • Cold brew New Orleans style coffee with almond milk

Dinner:

  • Tempeh seared with Korean BBQ sauce served in a whole grain flat with cole slaw

Late Night:

  • Chocolate soy ice cream with oreo crumbles
  • Leinenkugels Summer Shandy
  • A handful of chili spiced nuts and seeds
