Ship’s Log–August 22nd

Today was the last day in the little August challenge I set myself to loose 10 pounds. I failed. I totally failed. My total weight change as of today was a drop of 2.2 pounds, which means I lost nothing but water. I’ll try again after next week’s vacation, through September, when temptations are few and farther between. I hope.

Fitness:

  • I wish. Packing, rehearsals, prepping the house for the sitters…we’ll have to count that as today’s fitness

Breakfast:

  • Whole wheat pancakes with strawberries, coconut flakes, and maple syrup
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Morning Snack:

  • 2 truffles
  • Handful of nuts

Lunch @ The Starving Artist:

  • Chickpea and almond “tuna” salad on toasted pumpernickel
  • French fries
  • Iced tea

Afternoon Snack:

  • Coffee with almond milk and stevia
  • Cold brew New Orleans style coffee with almond milk

Dinner:

  • Tempeh cooked in Korean BBQ sauce with cole slaw in whole grain flat

Late Night:

  • Kiddie cone of mint chocolate chip soy ice cream
  • Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy
  • 2 wasa crackers with mustard
