Ship’s Log–September 5th

The theme for today was “Hungry.” I was hungry all day. Nothing satisfied me. And tired. This makes me a little worried that I’m coming down with something, since hungry and tired for no obvious reason tends to mean that my immune system is ramping up.

This means that my nutrition for the next few days is going to be even more important. Having a quesadilla from the natural food market deli for dinner tonight was probably unwise, but by evening I was just too drained to manage making a full meal from scratch at home. At least I managed a day without any candy, which, truth be told, is only because there is no candy in the kitchen and not because I didn’t go looking for candy in the kitchen.

Distance to Goal Weight: 20.9 pounds

Fitness:

  • 1 hour birding walk
  • 45 minutes MMA Demo Team practice

Breakfast:

  • Bowl of fruit (blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, and banana) with plain coconut milk yogurt and granola
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Morning Snack:

  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Lunch:

  • Salad: mixed greens, red cabbage, carrots, cucumber, red onion, tomatoes, shiitake, and vegan “chicken” dressed with miso, sriracha, and blackberry ginger balsamic
  • NatureBox Dutch Cocoa Sun-Crunch

Afternoon Snack:

  • Hummus and carrots
  • Wasa crackers with peanut butter and a wee bit of honey
  • Handful of nuts

Dinner:

  • Seitan and Daiya quesadilla with gaucamole
  • A few kale chips
  • Moroccan Mint Tea
