Ship’s Log–September 18th

PicShellsRest days during taper week are emotionally hard. Thankfully, there was an open house at Thing 2’s school tonight, so I wasn’t able to take any classes at the dojo even though I was tempted.

I’m feeling a cautiously optimistic about Sunday now.

Distance to goal weight: 20.7 pounds

Fitness:

  • 2 hour birding stroll

Breakfast:

  • Steel cut oats with apple sauce, plain coconut milk Greek style yogurt, flax seed, sliced banana, and maple syrup
  • Coffee with vanilla stevia and almond milk

Lunch:

  • Whole wheat pita with vegan “chicken,” sliced tomato, red onion, mixed greens, and smokey chipotle mustard
  • Small dish of granola and chocolate chips

Afternoon Snack:

  • PB&J

Dinner:

  • Red lentil coconut soup with sweet potato and spinach
  • Wasa crackers
  • Scottish Ale
  • Two chocolate chip cookies with mint icing (a birthday treat the Things made for The Hub)
