Ship’s Log–October 25th


The made-fresh-when-you-order donut shop opening down the street was a terrible blow to my nutrition plan. I wish their donuts sucked, but they don’t. They are awesome. Thankfully, they are on the small side, making each one a treat rather than a disaster.

Distance to goal weight: 21.1 pounds


  • 30 minutes MMA class (we joined class late because the school asked us to pose for a photo shoot at the start)
  • 45 minutes no-gi BJJ
  • 30 minute walk in the park


  • Whole wheat everything bagel with peanut butter
  • Coffee with sugar and almond milk

Morning Snack:

  • Handful of dried apple chips

Lunch @ Noodles and Company:

  • Small Bangkok curry noodles with tofu
  • Small side tossed salad
  • Coke Zero with vanilla flavor

Afternoon Snack:

  • Donut with maple glaze and walnuts
  • Coffee with sugar and almond milk
  • Rice cake with hummus


  • Leftover black bean chilli with crumbled seating, served over roasted sweet potatoes with Daiya shreds
  • Scottish ale
  • Frozen bananas with dark chocolate
  • Peppermint truffle
