Ship’s Log–November 4th


Looks like I picked the wrong week to give up stress eating and beer. Today was rough, so I let myself have that beer with dinner. At least I kept the snacking under control.

Distance to goal weight: 21.2 pounds


  • Fitbit metrics: 16,791 steps, 18 floors
  • Run 3.3 miles at 9 minutes a mile
  • 1 hour BJJ


  • Cinnamon raisin Ezekiel muffin with a little peanut butter and raspberry preserves
  • Smoothie: banana, strawberry, frozen cherries, romaine, flax seed, Orgain chocolate protein powder, vanilla soy milk, and water
  • Coffee with vanilla soy milk


  • Stir fried tempeh, mushrooms, broccoli, grape tomatoes, pineapple and cashews in chili paste over brown rice ramen noodles tossed with 1/2 teaspoon of toasted sesame oil
  • Cold brewed New Orleans style coffee with almond milk

Afternoon Snack:

  • Leftover kale, broccoli, and Brussel sprout salad
  • 2 dates
  • Chocolate mint tea with a little honey


  • Black bean and sweet potato soup
  • 1 slice toast
  • Newcastle Werewolf Ale
