Ship’s Log–November 7th

PicShells

I probably shouldn’t have allowed myself that cheat meal at dinner since I’m not even a week into this serious effort to cut weight, but I did anyway. Thing 2 had a picky eater friend sleeping over, and the family decided that pizza was the best way to feed him. I had a few pieces of the “Grandma’s pie” that one of our local places makes, which is a flaky crust topped with a wet tomato sauce, sliced of real mozzarella, basil leaves, and chopped garlic. It is much lighter on the cheese than a typical New York style pizza, and much, much heavier on the tomato sauce. I think it’s a slightly better option, though still not exactly health food.
