Ship’s Log–November 19th

It was a bit cold today for a run, but I decided that I needed one anyway. I planned on taking it super slow to give my body the opportunity to adjust to running in below-freezing temperatures, but I wound up going a bit faster than intended…probably because working out in the cold wasn’t enjoyable yet and I wanted it over.

Distance to goal weight: 20 pounds

Fitness:

  • Fitbit metrics: 10,668 steps, 13 floors
  • 3.3 mile run in the cold

Breakfast:

  • Sprouted grain onion poppy seed bagel with scrambled egg, Daiya cheddar, and vegan Canadian bacon
  • Clementine
  • Coffee with vanilla soy milk

Morning Snack:

  • Peppermint green tea

Lunch:

  • Leftover pasta with peas, onions, and vegan sausage
  • Power greens salad (kale, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, and chicory with cranberries, seeds, and poppy seed dressing)
  • Coffee with vanilla soy milk
  • Peppermint truffle

Afternoon Snack:

  • Vanilla mint chai with honey and vanilla soy milk
  • Apple with peanut butter and granola

Dinner:

  • Lentil soup
  • 1/2 pita with vegan chicken, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and BBQ mayo

Late night:

  • Salt and pepper pistachios
  • Peppermint truffles
