Ship’s Log–November 20th

Last week I joked that I thought there was something wrong with my scale after weighing in at exactly the same weight for four days in a row. Turns out, I was right. Yesterday my scale began insisting that I step off it, even when no one was standing on it. The hub replaced its batteries, and today it weighed me in a bit closer to goal.

Distance to goal weight: 19.3 pounds

Fitness:

  • Fitbit metrics: 10,320 steps, 13 floors
  • 3.3 mile run

Breakfast:

  • Whole wheat wrap with scrambled eggs, vegan bacon, Daiya shreds, and wilted greens (kale, spinach, and chard)
  • Whole fruit juice: banana, pineapple, orange, blackberries, frozen mangoes, flax and chia seed, and water
  • Coffee with vanilla soy milk

Morning Snack:

  • Peppermint green tea

Lunch:

  • Big bowl of black bean chili
  • Mixed greens dressed with tequila lime vinegar and chipotle olive oil
  • 1 slice whole grain bread
  • Coffee with vanilla almond milk
  • Peppermint truffle

Afternoon Snack:

  • Plain coconut milk with granola and cranberries
  • Vanilla mint chai with honey and vanilla soy milk

Dinner:

  • Peppers, onions, cauliflower and tofu cooked in tomatoes and tamarind garlic sauce
  • Brown rice
  • Samosas with chutney
  • Truffle

Late night:

  • Peppermint green tea
  • Vegan cookies
