Ship’s Log–December 3rd


Today was pretty much a disaster, fitness-wise. It was raining and cold, so I didn’t go for a run. We had a banquet to attend for Thing 1’s cross country team, so there was no class. I am stressed, so there was a lot of stress eating…and going to an all you can eat pasta buffet banquet primed to stress eat is NOT GOOD.

Distance to goal weight: 23 pounds


  • Fitbit metrics: 6,243 steps; 7 floors


  • Whole wheat tortilla with scrambled eggs, seating bacon, Daiya shreds, and wilted greens
  • Whole fruit juice: banana, pineapple, blackberries, frozen mango, flax and chia seed, and fresh squeezed orange juice
  • Coffee with vanilla soy milk

Morning Snack:

  • Coffee with vanilla soy milk


  • Tempeh seared in Korean BBQ sauce
  • Power greens salad
  • Clementine
  • Dish of Cape Cod candy

Afternoon Snack:

  • Raspberry fig bar
  • Truffles
  • Peppermint green teas


  • Assorted banquet food: pasta with vodka sauce, Greek salad, eggplant parm, bread roll with butter
  • Red wine
  • 2 small dessert pastries
