Ship’s Log–December 9th

I fully understand the phrase Under the Weather now. The weather today was horrible, an honest-to-goodness Nor’easter. Everyone in my circle felt it. In class tonight, everyone I worked with wasn’t at full capacity. I made it through BJJ alright, but by the middle of MMA, I had wet noodles for arms…and, truth be told, for brains as well.

I miss the sun and look forward to its inevitable return.

Distance to goal weight: 23.4 pounds

Fitness:

  • Fitbit metrics: 6,962 steps; 6 floors
  • 1 hour BJJ
  • 45 minutes MMA

Breakfast:

  • Whole wheat tortilla with scrambled eggs, seitan bacon, wilted greens (kale, spinach, and chard), and Daiya shreds
  • Whole fruit juice: banana, pineapple, blackberries, frozen mango, flax and chia seed, and fresh squeezed orange juice
  • Coffee with vanilla soy milk

Morning Snack:

  • Peppermint green tea

Lunch:

  • Power salad
  • Vegan “chicken” breast glazed with Korean BBQ sauce
  • Sliced apple
  • Coffee with vanilla soy milk
  • Blueberry fig bar

Afternoon Snack:

  • Wasa crackers with hummus
  • Tiny hot chocolate
  • Truffle

Dinner:

  • Garden burger with Daiya cheddar, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and BBQ mayo
  • Potato chips
  • Vanilla porter
  • Truffle
