Ship’s Log–January 26th, 2015

The snow started at 6 am today. Not sure how much we’ll get, though they were stepping back the forecast throughout the day. It still looks like it will be significant, if not the 36″ they warned of yesterday. Perhaps it will only be a week before I can go for a run, rather than a month!

In the meantime, I’ve got tools to work out with in the house that bring both the cardio and the strength training, and I used them this afternoon with Thing 2. Just because it’s snowing doesn’t mean I get a rest day, especially now that I’m on the mend from that terrible, awful, no-good cold.

Distance to goal weight: 24.3 pounds

Fitness:

  • 10 push ups, sit ups, and jump squats
  • 30 minutes MMA Fighter Fitness training
  • 10 minutes stretching

Breakfast:

  • Whole grain tortilla with scrambled eggs, vegan Canadian bacon, Daiya cheddar, and wilted greens
  • 1/2 grapefruit broiled with sliced strawberry
  • Coffee with vanilla soy milk

Lunch:

  • Grilled tofurky and Daiya swiss on whole grain bread
  • Tomato soup
  • Coffee with vanilla soy milk
  • Chocolate chip and walnut banana bread, served up too soon after coming out of the oven so the slices were more like pudding

Afternoon Snack:

  • Actual slice of the banana bread

Dinner:

  • Baked potato topped with hummus, gaucamole, wee bit of Daiya shreds, salsa, and broccoli
  • Mixed greens dressed with tequila lime white balsamic and blood orange olive oil
  • Boddington’s Ale

Late Night:

  • Chamomile tea
  • Another slice of banana bread. I probably should not have baked this.
