Ship’s Log–January 27th, 2015

The snowstorm took a last-minute dodge to the east, which means we got less than half the dire amounts originally forecast. It’s hard to tell exactly how much there is since it was blown around a whole lot, but it nowhere near 36″, which means we get one fun snow day and then it’s back to school for the Things. That’s just how I like my snow storms.

The snow kept up lightly through the morning, so Thing 1 and I sat down and worked to relaunch the photography blog we run together, Tomboy Photography. This is the first step I’m taking towards my 2015 goal of selling my photos.

After lunch, when the snow finally stopped, we geared up and headed out to shovel. I couldn’t get my regular ski pants on. My back up one (the “fat” ones) barely fit. Words can’t describe how horrible that made me feel. i know I’m bloated, and I know that two months of stress eating has a cost, but damn if I didn’t expect my fat pants to still fit.

Losing the extra pounds seems impossible when it’s a daily struggle just to stop gaining.
